- Contraindicated in severe G6PD deficiency. Use with caution in mild or moderate G6PD. Check G6PD activity before starting treatment.

Renal and hepatic impairment
Renal impairment
- No dose adjustment required.
- HDF/High Flux/PD: Dialysed. Dose as in normal renal function.
- In patients with a GFR less than 20 mL/min use with caution and monitor for side effects.
Hepatic impairment
- Dosage should be reduced in the elderly where there is an impairment of hepatic function.
