NO post-operative antibiotics required.
Cochlear implant
Patients with cochlear implant should receive Pneumococcal Vaccine (Pneumovax®).
Preferred (including penicillin allergy non-severe):
cefalexin 500mg po tds for 3 days
Alternative for penicillin allergy severe:
doxycycline 100mg po bd for 3 days
