Anaphylaxis

ADULT Anaphylaxis Follow-up

Patients who have had a first (or previously unworked up) severe allergic reaction (Anaphylaxis) should be referred to the 'Clinical Immunology' Pool on EPR for follow-up.

All Patients should:

• Be given an adrenaline autoinjector and training on how/when to use it.
• Have a Mast Cell tryptase level sent
• Be aware that reactions can be biphasic / deteriorate after initially improving
• Be discharged with written allergy advice leaflet and given information on how to manage further symptoms
