If stable, with no right heart strain and no oxygen requirement:

Refer to the Thrombosis Clinic
In EPR, click Communicate
In the To: section, type Consult Thrombosis and press Enter
Click Pool
Select "Consult Thrombosis Clinic"
Double click to select this as the address
(Right click to add to your address book for next time)
Send a brief summary of the case
Start treatment prior to discharge as per this leaflet, usually with apixaban

If requiring admission, refer to the medics (bleep 1470)
