Aquacel Ag + extra
A silver based hydrofiber antimicrobial
Aquacel Ag+ extra combines the exudate management properties of a hydrofiber with the broad spectrum antimicrobial properties of silver to help manage wound infection.
The dressing is conformable and highly absorbent, it is available in both sheet and rope formats.
Usage guidance
- For use on wounds with infection or those high risk of developing infection
- Can be applied directly to acute and chronic or flat and cavity wounds and secured in place with an appropriate secondary dressing.
- Offers antimicrobial effectiveness throughout a 7 day wear time - dressing change frequency may be dependent on exudate levels and monitoring needs of the wound.
- Use with caution in children and young adults and those receiving radiotherapy
It is recommended antimicrobial dressings are prescribed for two weeks for treatment and then reviewed.
